MHS wrestler Eduardo Dominguez was named the All-Lake County Wrestler of the Year by the Pioneer Press. Eduardo placed 5th in the state at 112 lbs. and finished with a record 41-7. Adam Avalos was also named to the All-Lake County 1st team at 189 lbs. All-Lake County 2nd team members include Tanis Arcos at 119 lbs. and Alex Mena at 140 lbs. Also, the following wrestlers have been selected to the North Suburban Wrestling All-Academic Team: Steven Avalos, Mike Savage, and Mike Hill.

Congratulations to Eduardo Dominguez for taking 5th place at 112 lbs. at the IHSA Individual State Wrestling Championships. Eduardo set the school record for victories in a season with 41 wins.

School Board approves Wrestling Bid
On Tuesday, January 11th 2005 the Mundelein High School Board of Education approved the necessary expenditures to improve the facilities that the MHS wrestling program uses. The lower gym will have all of it's walls padded in the school color red. Also approved was the purchase of a brand new state-of-the-art wrestling mat with our school logo and a list of all of MHS's state place winners. On behalf of the wrestling family we would like to thank the Board of Education, the MHS administration, Doug Duval, and Mike Dayton.

The Mustangs competed at the Hoffman Estates Tournament on Saturday and finished in 6th place. Mundelein had the 2nd most finalists with four.
