MUNDELEIN 7 - BUFFALO GROVE 4

In a Sectional Semi-final defensive dual, Buffalo Grove and Mundelein hold each other scoreless for much of the first half. Alice Denny puts the first ball in the goal followed by a Dani Caldwell goal to close out the first half with the Mustangs leading 2-0. Buffalo Grove outscores Mundelein in the 3rd quarter with a barrage of shots from the perimeter, but the 4th quarter belongs to the Mustangs as they pull away for an eventual 7-4 victory over the Buffalo Grove Bison.

MUNDELEIN 15 - LIBERTYVILLE 10

Mundelein defeats Libertyville in their first game at the Vernon Hills Sectional. In their highest scoring game of the 2008 season the Mustangs overpower Libertyville offensively and with Anne Murrows 12 saves kept Libertyville in check.

From Saturday, May 3:
MUNDELEIN TAKES 2 OUT OF 3 IN THEIR MINI TOURNAMENT

The first game in the tournament vs. Buffalo Grove ended with a come from behind victory in the 4th quarter on goals by Fedro and Kurzac. Ali Fedro led Mundelein shooters with 4 goals. Alissa Walker and Evelyn Kurzac each scored one goal.

Mundeleins 2nd game vs. Latin ended with similar results, but with Latin pulling ahead in the fouth quarter with 2 goals. Latin's final goal came in the last 3 minutes of play. Alice Denny led the Mundelein offence with 3 goals, with Sarah Honda and Allisa Walker adding 1 apiece.

Mundelein's final game of the day began just minutes after their loss to Latin. Mundelein grabbed an early lead vs. Mid-Suburban league powerhouse Prospect and never looked back. Alice Denny scored 5 goals in the Mundelein victory while Alexis Jones added 2, and Ali Fedro, Allanah Larson, and Allisa Walker posted 1 goal apiece.

From Wednesday, April 30:
NEW TRIER 13 - MUNDELEIN 9

In a game which was much closer than the final score would indicate, #11 New Trier held off the Mustangs 2nd and 3rd quarter rallies and pulled away in the 4th to a 12-9 victory. Mundelein fought into the lead in the second and again in the third quarter, but couldn't hold off the New Trier offense in the fourth quarter.

Senior night at the Mundelein pool was a big night for seniors Kristen Aucutt and Ali Fedro who combined for 7 goals in Mundelein's victory over the visiting Saxons.

Lake Forest came out shooting in the first quarter, but the Mustangs took control in the 2nd and put the game out of reach in the 3rd, breaking their 5 game losing streak.

Fremd jumped out to a quick 5-1 lead in the first quarter, and although the Mustangs kept pace throughout the rest of the game, they were unable to close the gap enough to pull ahead.

Alice Denny scored 4 in the first two quarters, and freshman Alexis Jones added one to give Mundelein a 5-2 half time lead. The Mustangs hang on to win 9-6 on an additional goal by Denny, 2 from Kristen Aucutt, and one from Yessina Rossi.

MUNDELEIN 7 - YORK 6

The Lady Mustangs visited York in a nail-biter. York controlled the lead by one after the each of the first two quarters. In the 3rd, York began to pull away halfway through the quarter. Only to have the Mustangs rally back and tie it up at 5 going into the 4th quarter. The Lady Mustangs pulled ahead 7-5, and held off York to only a 1-goal comeback.

From Monday, March 10:
MUNDELEIN 14 - ROLLING MEADOWS 4

The Mustangs scored the first goal in the first 14 seconds of the game. They followed with two more before the first two minutes were up. Rolling Meadows would come back and make it close at half with the score 3-2 after the 1st, and 7 - 3 at half. Mundelein would flex in the 4th quarter keeping Rolling Meadows scoreless and putting 6 goals of their own on the board to solidify the win.

At Glenbrook North, the Lady Mustangs experienced their first look of the season. Alice Denny 4, and Ali Fedro 3 led the scoring and Kristin Aucutt added 1. Anne Murrow played exceptionally in the goal with 16 saves.
