MUNDELEIN HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS WATER POLO - JUNIOR VARSITY
2008 RESULTS:
JV FINISHES SEASON WITH 18-5 WINNING RECORD
The JV girls finished their season with an impressive 18 wins. Some standout stats include Evelyn Kurzac finishing the season with 37 goals, Sarah Honda finishing with 47 steals, and Emily Tylka finishing with 105 saves. The entire team finished an amazing season with 194 goals, 240 steals, 22 drawn ejections, and over 110 saves.
JV GIRLS SWEEP CONFERENCE
The JV girls had an impressive showing at the conference tournament held at MHS. The 4-game sweep was completed with a 7 to 6 win over rival Stevenson HS. The score was tied until the last minute of the game when freshman Alexis Jones scored the game winning goal. The JV Mustangs had a very impressive tournament with over 35 goals scored, and less than 15 goals scored against the entire weekend.
JV GIRLS SWEEP BARRINGTON TOURNAMENT
Girl’s JV water polo won the 3rd annual Barrington Tournament on Saturday. The team was led by Evelyn Kurzac, Alexis Jones, and Jaqui Lodor who each had 10, 8, and 7 goals, respectively. Defense was lead by Evelyn and Sarah Honda who had 12 and 13 steals each. The team, rounded out by Dani Caldwell, Stephany Fuentes, and Alannah Larsen, as a whole scored 32 goals this weekend and allowed only 10 against. In the goal, Emily Tylka had 19 saves.

MUNDELEIN JV 8 - YORK JV 1
Lady Mustang JV fell behind early in the 1st quarter. After collecting themselves, they controlled the rest of the game, holding York JV scoreless for the rest of the game.
