Expectations/Goals/Conduct
From the MHS Girls Tennis contract:
You are a student first and athlete second. You are expected to have a “B” Average. To do anything less limits yourself and your teammates. It also means you are expected to make every attempt to see your teachers at a time that doesn’t take you away from the team. Make good use of resource.
You are expected to be a role model. Many people hold you as an example. Expect yourself to be the best person you can. This means no smoking, swearing, drugs and drinking. It also means you treat teachers, coaches, teammates, opponents and fans with respect.
You are expected to try your hardest at all times, practice and games. To be competitive in games you must be competitive in practice. You need to compete on a daily basis.
You are expected to be a team member first. Individual concerns are between you and your coach. These concerns should never reflect in your attitude during practices and games.
You are expected to take pride in your appearance. Dress appropriately for school, practices and games. Look and act like someone who deserves respect.
You are expected to be at ALL practices and matches. If you have any type of conflict, you must let your coaches know ASAP.
You are expected to be on time. Time is an important concept. School ends at 3:20, practice begins promptly at 3:40. This gives you 20 minutes to get ready for practice, tardiness will not be tolerated. Be on time for all practices, meetings, and matches.
You are expected to communicate with your coaches. Let them know what is going on.
You are expected to make a commitment to this tennis program.
Parents and students, please review the Code of Conduct. |
