From Wednesday, March 26:
MUNDELEIN 1 - BURLINGTON CENTRAL 0

From Thursday, March 20:
MUNDELEIN 1 - GRAYSLAKE CENTRAL 0

On Thursday night March 20th, the Mundelein Girls Varsity Soccer team took on Grayslake Central. The Mustangs would finally get to play their first game since the first two were either cancelled or rescheduled. It started off as a pretty even match. There were a couple sparks of offense from the visiting Mustangs, but no really decent chances.

The Rams offense was also having trouble attacking due to great defense by the Mustangs. This included the likes of Lindsey Benedeck, Niki Greenwood, Lacey Michelou, and Shayne Carroll. Because of them, keeper Niki Allen would have an easy day in the goal.

At the start of the second half the Mundelein Mustangs were a different team and they came out with energy and continued to attack the Rams defense. They would tally a goal early in the second half with a great header by Kim Carroll off a brilliantly placed corner by Courtney Bestler. Mundelein did get more chances including a great one by Mandi Afolter, but was unable to finish. The Mustangs shut down any attack by Central. The game would finish 1-0, Mundelein in they’re first game. Next would be the Lake Park Invitational.
