The Goalies were Sophomore, Alex Steagall and Freshman, Alex Steagall. Shots on goal were not recorded, but they both did an excellent job for the team.
The whole team dominated the whole game, we controlled the puck and controlled the game. We held them until 19 seconds left in the game, when they tied it up. Looking forward the seeing them again next fall. A great game by all team members.

A very close game until two minutes into the third period. With a tie of two to two going in to the third, the Mustangs scored 6 goals in the last 10 minutes of the game. Everyone was able to get in on the action. A great team performance.

While we were not so fortunate on Saturday, losing to Huntley by a scored of 4 to 2, the team showed up Sunday and competed in a very exciting game, and were victorious by a score of 5 to 4. We scored first and early, but they came back with two goals of their own, but we never gave up and the hard work paid off. Great game team!

MUNDELEIN MUSTANGS 0 - ROCKFORD 5
 Our goalies for the game were RJ Bennett for the first two periods with 13 saves
and Tyler Neubauer for the third period with 7 saves
We came out and had an excellent first period. We were right in the game ending the first with a score of 1 to 0. The second period proved to be our downfall and Rockford scored four goals during the second. At least we never gave up and didn't allow any score at all during the third period. There was a bright spot to the game, and it was that we out-shot Rockford. We had 24 shots on goal to their 20 shots on goal. Hopefully, we will show them a better game next time we meet. Not our best game of the year, but there's a lot of hockey yet to be played.
Next weekend, we have two games, Saturday, November 3rd at 4:10 PM we play Huntley High School at the Ice House in Crystal Lake, and Sunday, November 4th at 3:30 we play Conant/Hoffman Estates/Schaumbug at Rolling Meadows.

The team record so far is 3 - 1 - 1, a strong record for the early part of the season. We really came out strong on Sunday as they pounded the Hersey goalie with 27 shots on goal for the game and managing to keep the puck in the Hersey "zone" for the better part of the game. Defense really came on strong, and was especially effective in scoring five of the nine goals. The team is really working hard together. It was a "team effort" win. Our goalie for our first game of the season was Senior, R.J. Bennett and he faced 15 shots on goal, 8 of them or almost half in the second period.
