FROSH B 65 - VERNON HILLS 32
The Freshmen Boys B team finishes the season in usual form, winning 65 to 32 over Vernon Hills. Led by Pat Tan's 18, Jaime Jahen and John Devito's 10 a piece, the B's extinguished any attempted to win by Vernon Hills. "These guys pride themselves on defense, 75 percent of our offense is created by our defense. They definitely are not a half court team. They get in your face and wont back down, I'm going to miss the way they play!"
Thank You to all the parents once again, you guys are the best!
From Wednesday, February 13:
FROSH B MUSTANGS WIN IN WAUCONDA
The Young Mustangs wrap up the Waucanda Freshmen Tourney with a win, 62-30. Capturing the title by going 3-0, the B's didn't have a game within 30 points. Led by Co-MVPS John "Da Truck" Devito and Pat "The Man" Tan, the B's improved to 13-7. Devito led the way with a game high 18 points, Co-MVP Tan also had 17. Jaime Jahen and Harrison Klein chipped in double figures to go along with their great efforts. Darien Horn and Kevin Panich anchored the defense, while Dougy "Fresh" Lewis, Chris Langlie, and Zach Ciekutis added much needed boosts off the bench.
"The B's are on a roll, we have won 8 out of the last 10. These guys really have played well all year, not too many teams work harder than these guys do game in and game out. These boys are warriors every time they step foot on the court, they know how to put on a show. It's like watching BraveHeart!" Said Coach Garcia.
The B team plays next, Saturday after the A game. Come support your boys!
