We are requesting your participation and guidance in a new community engagement program beginning soon at Mundelein High School District 120. The program has been given a name:
M-PACT: Mundelein Parents And Community Together. M-PACT is an important citizen-led initiative designed to help achieve the goals of the Long Range Planning Committee, shaping the future of our District. Your help in this process is critical.
The program begins this month and will conclude in May 2008. Seven meetings are scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the following dates: October 25 and November 29, 2007, January 24, February 21, March 13, April 17, and May 8, 2008. We are making an all-inclusive effort to open the lines of communication between District 120 and the communities it serves. For this reason, we are reaching out to everyone – parents, business leaders, community members, employees and students – and requesting widespread involvement in M-PACT.
M-PACT meetings and events are designed with a two-fold purpose. First, the program will provide information about the many challenges and opportunities facing the District. Second, and most important, the program will provide opportunities for you to discuss these issues with your neighbors and other members of the community.
We need your opinions and knowledge because you understand the dynamics of this community and its families. You are invited to become a valued member of this important task force and attend the first M-PACT meeting on Thursday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Mundelein High School.
At the end of the community engagement process the group will have a comprehensive study that, along with the MHS Long-Range Plan, will serve as a guide for improving the performance of the District.
If you accept our invitation to participate in M-PACT, please call (847) 949-2200 x1210 or email m-pact@mhs.k12.il.us as soon as possible. Your time, commitment and insight will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Lori Wilcox and Olivia Maple
