COMMENTS
- All areas need space/storage and improved air space.
- Keep the children involved!
- For some families when classes/programs are cut, families will provide it outside the school day. But what happens to the other children – they lose. How can MHS have less and/or worse facilities and/or classes than our feeder schools?
- Our children’s interests greatly influence our priority rankings.
- All children have different gifts and talents.
- All areas contribute to the development of our children to be successful citizens.
- We have a wide variety of kids, so all areas are equally important.
- Microsoft applications should be a graduation requirement or there should be a proficiency test to exempt out.
- Expand facilities to handle extracurricular activities. What about using the 53 Right-of-Way for practice fields.
- We have a world class fine arts program, so it should be supported well.
- Hardships have fallen on the kids because of the reduction of funding.
- Life skills.
- Community/park district.
- Age of facilities – worst.
- All of these areas are interrelated with regards to addressing space/resource needs. Merge these needs into other needs to form a comprehensive plan.
- TV area should be located in Performing Arts area.
- Tech Campus, while not ideal, is an option.
- Revisit all weather turf.
- Safety concerns (i.e., field conditions).
- Keep kids engaged, avoid cuts.
- Need new performing arts center.
- Current facilities give a poor first impression to 8th graders, comm. groups.
- New facilities, feeder teams, lack of intramurals.
- Spatial issues, ventilation.
- More incoming students to be involved.
- Add more curriculum.
- More space.
- More kids involved.
- Facilities.
- Poor impression(s) towards incoming freshmen.
- Let’s show our children the fine arts are just as important as our other extracurricular programs.
- We have talented kids in this school. They deserve a reliable quality sound system and a comfortable auditorium. Our stage is not large enough for many theater and choral productions.
