Topics include: data types, flow control, algorithm development, methods, classes, interfaces, exception handling, and recursion. This course will prepare you for the Computer Science A exam. A good score on the exam can grant you college credit in computer science at some universities. Although students will have use of the computer lab at school, students will benefit from having a computer at home to complete unfinished programs. Work outside of class varies per student based on how well he/she can complete programming assignments in class. Homework is assigned to strengthen skills.
