Best Buddies: Best Buddies is a club that pairs high school students like you in fun, enriching, one-to-one friendships with students who have intellectual disabilities. Our first meeting will take place in October - yet to be announced. If you would like to join or would like more information, please contact Mrs. Luby in room 125 or Mrs. Baker in room 107. More>> CCRC: -If you are in the top 10% of your class, please sign-up for the PSAT in the CCRC. The test is on October 15th. You can earn scholarships! More>> -Visit the College Representative page on the CCRC website for upcoming university and college visits to Mundelein. Juniors are welcome! -Have you ever played 'Guitar Hero'? Guess which college it was invented at? Renssellaer University, in Troy, New York, has excellent engineering and medical programs! Come to the CCRC for more information. -Are you planning to attend the University of Wisconsin, Platteville? There are scholarships up to $100,000. Stop by the CCRC for details. TODAY Cheerleading Fundraiser: Eat some wings on Wednesday, October 8 from 5-9pm and help support the MHS Cheerleaders! More>> UPCOMING Boys Soccer: Senior Night for Boys Soccer will be Saturday, October 11 at 6:00pm. Quarterback Club: The next Quarterback Club meeting is Monday, October 13 at 7:30pm in room 103/105. Visiting Representatives: The Barbizon School of Modeling will be visiting MHS in the student cafeteria during lunch on Tuesday, October 14th. ACT Prep Classes: ACT Preparation classes are being offered from October through December for students planning on taking the test this winter. The registration deadline is Tuesday, October 14. Students may see their guidance counselor or the CCRC for more information. Flyer (JPG - 123k) Girls Basketball Fundraiser: The Lady Mustangs will be hosting a Baggo Tournament on Saturday, October 18 in the North Gym. Everyone is welcome! Hoop Club: The next meeting of the Hoop Club is on Monday, October 20 at 7:30pm in the Mundelein Room. More>> Spanish Speaking College Fair: On Wednesday, October 22 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Palatine High School will be hosting a presentation in Spanish on the following topics; Preparing for College, financial aid, community vs. four-year institutions. Also, you will have the opportunity to meet college and university representatives. Palatine HS is located at 1111 N. Rohlwing Road in Palatine, Illinois. Contact the CCRC or the Guidance Office for additional information. ParentFX: The next meeting of ParentFX will be on Thursday, October 23 at 7:00pm in the choir room. More>> ONGOING Tutoring: Having trouble understanding Math concepts, Science principles or do you need assistance in other subject areas? Then walk-in tutoring is for you! Tutoring will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 in room 139. Be sure to sign in and out when you attend. There will be a late bus leaving MHS at 4:45. SADD: Students Against Destructive Decisions will be meeting every Tuesday morning at 7:10 before school in the Driver's Ed Room, which is room 171. Please come ready to have fun and help out. If you have any questions, talk to Alex Hoffmeyer or see Mr. Giannamore in the Guidance Office. You may like what we do. Gay-Straight Alliance: There will be weekly meetings of the Gay-Straight Alliance on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:00pm and on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 7:40am. Please attend. Fellowship of Christian Athletes: The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will holds meetings on Wednesday mornings before school at 7am. Come down to room 182 for food and fellowship! FCA welcomes all interested MHS students. See Coach Franzen, Coach Evans or Coach Ekstrom with any questions. Girls Gymnastics: All girls interested in Gymnastics – please see Coach Toland for information for the upcoming season! Open Gyms are on Monday and Wednesdays from 6-8 in the Gymnastics Gym. Wrestling: The Wrestling program has open weightlifting three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. See a coach for more information. Privileges: Juniors and Seniors with privileges, may only leave the building when they have lunch or a free period. They may not leave the building at any other time during the school day without permission from a Dean or with a pink pass from the Attendance Office. Any questions, please come to the Dean's Office.
