Be warned that there are certain privacy issues you should consider every time you access the Internet…Do not give out information which is of a sensitive nature unless you are sure that it is going to the proper source and you are also sure that the transaction is conducted in a “secure” manner. This is especially important if a fee is required and you are transmitting credit card information. |

Many colleges have their own home pages and will often feature financial aid, scholarship information, course schedules, and campus support sections within the pages. Try your specific college site first – often what you need to know is right there in that site. |

Also be aware that you might get unwanted mail and “spam” if you register on certain sites. Many sites sell their database information to other companies in the same way that mail-order companies sell their lists. |

If you do not have Internet access at home, you can access the Internet at your local library or in most schools for free. |
