Mundelein High School - Clubs & Activities

March 20, 2006 -
The Winter Guard placed 5th at the IDTA state competition on Saturday at University of Illinois, receiving a trophy and ribbons. Their score was an 82.5, the highest score received for MHS Winter guard. This is only the third year MHS has had a Winter Guard Team and the first year they have quilified for State.

March 4, 2006 -
Congratulations to the 2006 Winter Guard, they competed at Super Sectionals in Joliet, placing 4th in AAA Tall Flags and qualifying for State.

3/1/05 - The Mundelein Winter Guard took 3rd place at Prarie Ridge High School February 26th. The Winter Guard has qualified for the teams first Supersectional appearance in school history. They will be competing at Harlem High School on Saturday March 5th for an opportunity to go to State, which is held in Champaign Illinois.

2/23/05 - Mundelein Winter Guard competed at Stevenson High School this Sunday, February 20th. Mundelein Winter Guard placed second at Stevenson. They competed against schools such as Grayslake, Stevenson, Naperville Central, Zion Benton and more. They were only 9/10th of a point from making it to Super Sectionals. We would like to invite you to come out and support us at Prairie Ridge High School this Saturday, February 26th.

2/14/05 - The Mundelein High School Winter Guard, which competed for the first time last season, finished in fourth place in recent competition at Elk Grove and Warren High Schools. The team has three more competitions scheduled: Dundee Crown on February 13, at Stevenson February 20 and at Prairie Ridge on February 26. The Winter Guard is sponsored by Band Director Nick Konwerski and is under the direction of Mrs. Amanda Parola.

Mundelein Winter Guard includes: Jennifer Christian, Andrea Hupperich, Nicolette André, Amanda Vanmanen, Kurie Moderhack, Crystal Torres, Lesley Goronson and America Lanuza and Captains Elyse Schultz and Kimberly Hellman.
