MHS Announcements
May  12, 2008
Congrats:
Last Friday night, MHS won 1st place in the “Cinco de Mayo College Bowl Competition” at Highland Park High School after competing against 5 other area high schools. More>>

CCRC:
Seniors, if you have not yet filled out your post-graduation surveys, please come up to the CCRC this week and fill one out. It will take you five minutes. See Mr. Piland or Mr. Tullo immediately.

Seniors:
Any seniors with pictures of our four years at MHS give either Katie Hartnett or Katasha Kumar a CD with pictures or drop them off in Room A209 up in the library to Mr. Meister. Thanks!

Lockers:
All lockers need a school administered lock on them at all times. Failure to comply with this request could result in the cost the lock being charged to your school fees.

Summer School:
Do you need to make up one or both terms of a two-term class? Or would you just like to get a head start on credits for next year? The best time to do so would be during summer school! The Summer School Catalog is available in the Student Support Offices and online. See Mrs. Davis in the Guidance Office to register. The registration deadline is May 30th!

AP Students:
Please review the testing memo or this page for what can and cannot be brought into the testing room. Also, you cannot bring in any bags to testing.

TODAY
NHS:
Don't forget to turn in your NHS stoles today! You can leave them in the front office, or you can turn them into Mrs. Chilcote in Room 160 or 152. If you don’t turn in your NHS stole, you will not be given your Honor Cords for graduation.

TOMORROW
Junior Leadership:
We will have a short meeting tomorrow at 7:15 a.m. We will be looking at graduation announcements for your senior year. Please attend.

Band Awards Dinner:
Due to a late-developing facilities conflict, the Band Awards Night Dinner will take place on Tuesday, May 13th; one day earlier than originally scheduled. Doors will still open at 5:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30, followed by the presentation of band awards and this year's DVD yearbook. More>>

ONGOING

There is also weightlifting for any girls not in a spring sport on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:15 in the weight room. If you have any questions see Coach Evans or Coach Harding. Your championship season starts now!

-All girls planning on playing basketball next year need to get their summer registrations and payments turned in to Coach Harding or Coach Evans as soon as possible. The leagues, camps, and tournaments fill up, so the fees need to be collected as quickly as possible. If you have any questions, see either of the coaches as soon as you can. That's Coach Harding in the Math department and Coach Evans in the P.E. department.
